I received a rather suspect call from a call centre, supposedly regarding my meter reading. They kept insisting they belonged to the meter reading department but couldn’t name the company they represented. I informed them that should they ring back, I’d require confirmation of their company’s identity before proceeding, just to ensure everything was on the up and up.
