Got a call from a number linked to Core Telecom Limited, which I've heard is often used by scammers. They knew my name and claimed to be from Eco Home, but it's the same lot that keeps bugging me. They want to come round with an energy rep to check our doors, windows, loft, and walls for insulation or energy efficiency. Honestly, I’m really wary of them. I wouldn’t trust cold calls like that - it’s risky especially for older or vulnerable folks since these people seem to have zero concern about taking advantage of people.

The number showed a local area code, so I rang it back assuming it might be someone I knew nearby. When the answerphone picked up, it said something about “ATD marketing,” which wasn’t anyone I was expecting. Since my phone number is on the TPS list, I’m pretty sure it was just another annoying sales call rather than a genuine contact.
