The guy I got on the phone, called Alex Corner, seemed pretty convincing but was confused about being in London, even though the number was from the North West. He tried to get me to press the Ctrl and Windows keys, which I refused, and then he went on about how my information could be at risk. I took my laptop to a local tech shop and they said it's definitely a scam, ran a full check for me.
