The call was from an energy company called Utilita. They left a voicemail ‘cos my energy got switched over to them after OurPower folded, and they needed my bank details. I don’t usually share info on the phone with strangers, but this one was legit.

They used to ring me every day, sometimes even twice in one day. It got so frustrating that I blocked the number, but they somehow managed to call me again. After a while, I figured out who it was and told them if they called me again, I'd report them to the police. The calls stopped for about two months, but now they've started up again. Does anyone know how to make these annoying callers stop for good?

Last week, i got a call from an 0800 number. The bloke was telling me i had the old kind of electric meters, so i told him to take me off their list. I asked where they got their info from and mentioned GDPR, and he said it was from the national grid or something. It’s all rubbish and could easily scare older or vulnerable folks. They called me again today from a different number, and i told them once more to erase my details. I’ve also blocked the number now.
