I received a call earlier today from a woman purporting to represent Spark Energy. She was pressuring me to transfer both my gas and electricity to their service, although I already have my electricity with them. It struck me as rather dubious, given that their headquarters are in Scotland, and the number was not an 0191 local code. Moreover, the background noise didn't resemble a conventional call centre at all.
