Caller hung up before I could even pick up. I tried using 1471 on the phone upstairs to see the number. A little while later I did the same on the downstairs phone, but instead of the number, a recorded message told me to "Please enter your Account details"!! Definitely feels a bit dodgy.

Steer clear of this number! No way it’s from the NHS. If you Google 08458622331, you’ll find it’s linked to a scammer caught out last year. Pharmacies actually do deliver your repeat prescriptions now if you sign the right form, so if someone’s pretending to be NHS trying to trick old folks into changing over for some dodgy commission, there’s a chance they might be handing out fake meds too. Proper shady business.

07/02/2015 got a call but no one said a word. When I called back, it turned out to be some NHS Prescription Scheme nonsense. If it's real, why is there no one answering properly? Surely if the NHS really wants info, they can just check the records they already have on their systems? Honestly, this way of getting in touch is just daft. Watch out for these pointless calls!

I got a call about sorting out prescriptions for both me and my husband, saying it would help lessen the load on the doctor’s surgery and local pharmacy for a few months. When I mentioned I felt a bit iffy about the call, the person on the other end just ended the call straight away. Really didn’t like how that was handled.

I got a call from someone claiming to be the "NHS Prescription Initiative" from the number 01915800203. They actually asked me by my name and mentioned I had a repeat prescription ready. When I questioned them and said why would I share personal info over the phone to a random caller I never agreed to hear from, they just hung up on me. There needs to be stronger rules to stop these types of unexpected calls. Loads of people might not even know what info they're handing over! They should completely ban these calls unless you’ve clearly agreed to them - ticking a box shouldn’t be the loophole.

Got a call around 10 in the morning on December 2nd from someone saying they were with the NHS about renewing my prescription.

Got a phone call claiming to be from NHS pharmacists about some new program. It was a recorded message that said they might call me back. When I tried calling the number back, I got the exact same recorded message, which then asked me to leave a message after the beep. But when I did, a bloke’s voice said the mailbox was full and cut off. Honestly, someone serious like Cameron should track these people down - absolute nonsense and a total waste of both my cash and time.
