Got a call from a guy calling himself Michael, sounded Asian, on my mobile. He said he worked for some claims company and that a payout was heading my way for a claim I supposedly made last year - which I never did. He already had my full name and address, which creeped me out. When I asked where he got my number from, he insisted he had my claim right there in front of him. I kept saying no, you don’t, and again asked how he got my details. Then he started saying I was being rude, so I just told him “no thanks”, hung up and blocked his number straight away.

Got a call from a guy with a bit of an Asian accent, and there was loads of noise in the background. As soon as I told him my name, he just ended the call straight away.

They've rung me three times already. The first two occasions, as soon as I picked up, they just hung up. Then, today, they actually asked if I was my husband! Like, do I really sound like him? They ended the call after that. Feels really sketchy to me.

Got a call from this Indian call centre claiming they were from "Priority Claims Company" in London, which was definitely a load of rubbish. They kept trying to push PPI claims on me and completely ignored my registration with the TPS. Total waste of time.

Got a call saying my PPI claim was approved, but they'd take a quarter and then HMRC would take 20%, leaving me with just over £2,000. I was like, “Mate, I never filled out any of this stuff or even had PPI!” Told him straight up he was talking rubbish - and you could tell it rattled him a bit. Feeling sorry for the poor bloke, really.
