I began to have a chat but the line dropped abruptly.

this number kept ringing me up, and the bloke on the line actually knew my name which freaked me out since i’ve no clue who he is. he’s called me a few times using different numbers, mostly in the afternoon but once even on a saturday. the voice sounded familiar so i just ended the call straight away. it honestly makes me uneasy and i’m pretty sure he’s messing about with number spoofing or something.

I've had this same number ringing me incessantly over the last few days, and I can't quite shake off my curiosity about who’s on the other end. I just can't bring myself to pick up calls from strangers, especially when they don't bother to leave a voicemail. I got a call from them saying my washing machine insurance was about to end, but that wasn’t right at all. Then they tried to say it must be from my old machine, which is rubbish because I never had any cover on that one either. They sound like they’re sure you’re already signed up and pretend they know when your insurance expires, but it’s just not true. I wouldn’t trust these lot one bit - feels like a dodgy sales gimmick.

Received a call with no one on the other end - quite unsettling! I've reported the number on Who - Called - Me and taken the precaution of blocking it. Better safe than sorry, I reckon!
