This number keeps ringing me non-stop. Whenever I try to ring back, it just says the voicemail is full and won’t take any new messages. Really strange!

So today I got a call from the number 01915481865. It was a woman speaking with an Asian accent, one I've heard plenty of times already. The last few times she claimed she was from the BT Technology Department, but that’s a total fib. I reckon these calls can be really upsetting for old folk or anyone who’s vulnerable or disabled, making them stressed and anxious. My advice? Report it to the Police and even let your MP know. You can use 1471 to find out who’s calling and when. Write down what they say, then just hang up and get in touch with the police’s action fraud team.

Got a call from this number but when I answered there was just silence and then the line cut off. I don’t usually share my landline, so I’m pretty sure it’s one of those scam calls.

We've had a bunch of these calls, but we just ignore any number we don't know. If they end the call, I sometimes leave the receiver off the hook so they stay on the line and can't ring back again. They usually give up pretty quickly! My mum, who’s 87 and doesn’t even own a mobile, keeps getting calls about internet deals - it’s ridiculous 😂

I noticed this number tried to call me today, but my phone never actually rang! I only spotted it when I was looking up another call I got about 15 minutes later on BT. From what everyone else has been saying, I'm going to go ahead and block this number for good. Honestly, the only chance we’ve got to stop these scam calls is if everyone actually reports them to the police via their Action Fraud site. Loads of people on here and other forums have already shared guides on how to do it properly. Just so you know, phone call blockers sometimes can only block a certain number of calls, and after that they stop working, which obviously benefits the scammers big time.

Total scam! Like someone mentioned before, I ended up reporting it to the police through Action Fraud. Pretty straightforward once I figured out you need to use the report button at the very top of the site, not the one in the main homepage section. I also sent an email to the NFIB like Action Fraud said to. Didn't bother blocking the number since my block list is already overflowing - I've been adding so many numbers in the last year. Honestly, hope it stops soon!

Got a call from a guy, sounded Asian, saying there was an issue with my internet. Normally, I wouldn’t pick up unknown numbers but this one had a local area code so I did. When I asked him the time, he rudely told me to f*** off. I told him the same and ended the call.

Then he wanted me to read it back to him. I told him to read it himself, and he got through the last four digits but then asked me to say the rest - I refused. He kept pushing but I told him I’d had enough and just hung up. Funny thing is, I’m not even a BT customer, just curious to see what he was up to.

this guy with an indian accent called up saying my wifi was compromised. he told me to switch on my laptop and open some email he’d send so he could help fix it. kept asking about a key next to the ‘ctrl’ one or something. played along for a bit but then he twigged i was having a laugh and just ended the call.

Got a call on the 18th of Nov about supposed fraud with my BT internet, but I don’t even use BT as my provider. Plus, BT’s call centre isn’t based in Sunderland, so I just ended the call straight away.

This person called claiming to be from BT and told me there’s been hacking on my internet recently. When I said “oh right,” they then asked me to go online and check my connection. I said okay, and she confirmed that’s what she wanted. Then I asked if that’s why my bank balance kept saying “insufficient funds” whenever I tried to withdraw money. She said it might be related. I wasn’t convinced though - I reckon it’s just because I’ve blown all my cash - and I just ended the call.

Got a call from them today, and there’s no chance this dodgy character is really from Sunderland. I checked out the Action Fraud site and saw that the Indian cops busted some scammers and closed down a few fraud hubs recently, so maybe flagging these things does make a difference. Probably pointless trying to get my MP involved, but it feels good to try anyway.

Twice now I've had a woman with an Indian accent ring me up, and what creeps me out is how she already knew our names! Claimed she was calling from BT. The first time it was about some dodgy calls we supposedly received, then the second time it was about our internet. Since we don’t have BT for either, it was obvious it was a scam, so I just hung up straight away!

Got a call from some number I didn’t recognise, and the person on the line claimed to be from BT saying there was some illegal stuff happening on my router. They warned me my internet would be cut off in a day if I didn’t sort it. So I pressed 1 as they said, which connected me to someone working from a call centre. That person told me there was a fault with my router and wanted to get into my computer. That’s when I just hung up and blocked their number straight away.

some woman rang me claiming she was from bt’s call blocking team and wanted to know if i was still dealing with annoying calls. she went on about how they’re doing their best to fix the problem but need a bit more time. i asked her what company she was with and she quickly hung up. she spoke good english with an accent and seemed legit at first, but then she asked for my card info and that’s when i got suspicious. honestly, best not to pick up these calls.

Had a call from a lady claiming to be from ‘BT Technology’ saying my router wasn’t functioning right, which sounded a bit dodgy to me. Just for a laugh, I asked her for her phone number and address so I could verify it. She told me 01186016700 and gave a BT address on Newgate Street, London. I looked into it, and while the address is legit, the phone number isn’t real - all part of their trick. These scammers really are upping their game these days. Watch out, folks!
