Lately, I’ve been getting tons of calls every day for about a week. One time I answered and it was an Asian lady claiming my internet was having problems. I told her that was nonsense straight away. I really think it’s a scam and definitely not to be trusted.

Got a ring from a 0191 number supposedly about a family matter, so I picked up. Instead of a person, an automated message just hung up after saying bye. If a real person calls next time, I might just blow my whistle and see how they like that. Fingers crossed it gives them a bit of bother! 🤞🤷‍♂️

I got a phone call supposedly from BT Open Reach saying my internet connection was poor and I was entitled to a refund via direct debit. They asked me to install some software so they could get remote access to my PC, then insisted I log into my online banking. They manipulated the webpage to make it seem like they had sent me too much money. After that, they pressured me into buying bitcoin and setting up an account, requesting I confirm things through text and email. Finally, they asked for ID, claiming this was necessary to retrieve the “overpaid” funds.

Openreach have been ringing me loads - like a couple times a week, and sometimes even a few times in one day! They never seem to know who I am, just keep banging on about my broadband. I told them I don’t use the internet at all and they just cut me off.

Oh, Openreach are at it again, ringing me at least twice a week, sometimes loads in one day! They never bother to ask for your name, just keep banging on about your internet. I even told them I haven’t got internet at all and they just ended the call. So annoying!

This number phoned me twice, both times a woman with an Asian accent, sounded like the same lady. First call she said she was 'George', second time 'Jenny'. She claimed to be from BT Openreach, saying they spotted faults on my router. I told her it was funny since my router isn’t even linked to my phone line, then she just ended the call. On the second call, I just replied with a simple “oh yeah” and she hung up immediately. Fingers crossed they stop bothering me soon.
