Got a call on my home phone from 0191 5487419, with a robotic voice saying there was some weird activity on my credit card involving £14 and over £700. Tried ringing the number back but it just said the service isn’t available.

Definitely seems like a dodgy scam call to me.

Sounds like they might be going after business managers or directors, I caught a bit of an accent that wasn’t local.

Someone rang me up saying they were from a firm called Greenfield, wanting to chat about Revenue and Trade Supply stuff. They asked to speak with the company Directors specifically. When I asked what the call was actually about, the person just laughed and said they’d already shared more than they intended and would only explain things if a Director was on the line - then they just ended the call.

Everytime I pick up, they just cut the call straight away. Maybe it’s cos they see it’s a work number and decide not to bother.

I kept getting calls from this number, finally picked up. A woman with an accent asked for a name totally unfamiliar to me, then just ended the call without saying anything else. Not sure what that was about.

This definitely came off as a scam or spam call. When I asked who was calling, they just cut me off and ended the call.
