Yesterday, I received a rather unwelcome call from this number, and I must say, the woman on the other end was quite confrontational right from the outset. When I requested that she remove me from their list, she practically yelled at me, insisting that I was being impolite for not engaging in conversation. It was all rather shocking, and I eventually had to hang up because her behaviour was intolerable. To make matters worse, I was in the midst of managing my business, so I certainly didn't need a debt collection agency hounding me with unsolicited calls. This company really ought to reconsider their tactics.

Got a cold call but no one spoke when I picked up. When I called back, it came up as Elite Debt Collection but they didn’t answer either - probably tied up hassling someone else! If it’s legit, then they clearly haven’t bothered checking the TPS list.

Totally with the other comments on this one - when I picked up, I heard two women giggling like mad. One then said she wanted to talk to a director. I asked what for, and she said it was about debt collection. I told her we don’t need any debt collectors, and she kept asking if I was a director, and said it again and again in a really rude way! Had a really unpleasant call from a woman who was rude and quite pushy, wanting to chat to a Director. When I asked which one, she just got more irate. I explained that due to Data Protection rules and not having a name, I wasn’t able to share any details, and also that all debt recovery is handled by our legal team. She just hung up on me after that. Honestly, I’d say avoid this dodgy little firm altogether - they clearly have zero respect for the businesses they hassle. A bit of politeness wouldn’t go amiss.

They ask you to pay upfront to go after money someone owes you, but if they manage to collect it, they keep it for themselves. It’s like getting scammed twice. Someone rang our company wanting to talk to the owner but he wasn't around. Our Office Manager told them this and mentioned she handles debt recovery herself, but the caller just said, "That's not what I asked," and then cut off. This lot are really unprofessional, more like some dodgy back street business using outdated phone tricks and they're a proper pain. The people on the phone are rude, clueless, and have wrong info. They start off by threatening legal action and saying agents will come to take stuff to cover the debt, even without a court order. Best thing is to hang up straight away and report them to trading standards and OFCOM for abusing the telecom rules. If you can, block their number from calling you again. Good luck with it.
