Got a call from some energy firm looking for someone who’s never even been here. They acted like they’d talked to them before, which is rubbish, then went on about having a zoom meeting with them - no chance that happened. Definitely sounded dodgy to me.

Got a call from a bloke called Nick from "Northern Power" asking to speak to whoever handles our energy bills. I mentioned we're on the Telephone Preference Service so shouldn’t be getting these calls. He got quite rude and started swearing. I told him to wait a moment, put him on hold, and after about five minutes, he just vanished.

Got hammered with calls from this number, the person on the phone was way too aggressive and rude, and this was out of the blue. It's just not right for any business to get these kinda calls when we're just trying to do our job.

He rang me twice. The second call, he claimed to be from EDF and said I needed a pay-as-you-go meter. Asked for my address right away, but he didn’t sound believable at all. His way of talking was really off. I told him to leave me alone cos I knew it was a scam, then he started shouting down the phone. Asked me what I meant by calling it a scam. There was also some background noise like he was in an actual call centre. Total con job!!

Got a call from NPG Energy Consultants trying to push me into a gas and electric deal. They kept saying stuff like "you need to decide now if you want to sign, otherwise we can’t quote you." Told them forcing people like that won’t win them any business. Have blocked the number now.

I said it didn’t affect us, he kept pressing me to explain what I knew, but I just told him to email instead. He refused that too. Seemed like he got his info from Companies House, but the folks he was asking for aren’t with the company anymore. Honestly, this lot should be shut down, especially as they’d probably con elderly people out of their cash. Should be illegal! If this number calls you, just tell them off and hang up straight away.

Totally a scam!! They said my business electric bill was up for renewal and they could help me save cash by renewing straight away. I decided to play along just for laughs since I only do residential and don’t actually have any business electricity! It’s only near the end they ask for a small payment on your card. As a business, if you hand over that 16 digit number, you’re basically handing them the keys to your account! No clue what they might end up charging you!

Northern Gas & Power (NGP) keep ringing our workplace multiple times daily, and the blokes on the other end are really quite rude and always ready to argue. We've told them repeatedly to stop contacting us, even sent a written request, but they still haven't taken us off their call list. Honestly, I doubt they've got any proper system for managing their contacts. Like I said, they’re really unpleasant to deal with - I just don’t understand why anyone would want to talk like that, especially when they’re the ones trying to drum up business!
