I found myself on the receiving end of a rather insistent call from a chap named Johnny, who was bent on explaining the intricacies of KVA electricity to me. I firmly told him we weren’t interested and hung up. To my surprise, he called back within a minute, keen to press the matter further. I requested he send me a letter instead, to which he flatly declined. Then I asked to speak to his supervisor. This is where I was introduced to Andy, who, right from the outset, was not very courteous. Once again, I reiterated my request for a letter, only to be met with a rather distasteful response that had me feeling he was operating a bit like a con artist. To add to my bewilderment, Andy proceeded to ask me to send him a letter to formally request a letter! Quite honestly, I've never encountered such a pushy and discourteous bunch of individuals in my life.

A woman claimed she had concerns regarding some safeguarding matters linked to our energy provider! Sounds like a scam to me...

I received a couple of calls from a woman who turned rather curt and confrontational when I mentioned I wasn't keen on whatever she was offering. I was under the impression that cold calling had been outlawed!
