I’m pretty sure it’s EDF calling, they’ve been on at us for years about installing a new meter. They keep saying our current one’s outdated, but I’m not convinced. EDF called me but didn't leave any voicemail. Honestly, if they’d left a message, I might have bothered to follow up. Since they didn’t, I’m just ignoring it. To be honest, if EDF wants to get in touch, they should just send me an email about anything - even about fitting one of those dodgy meters that aren’t really smart or anything. Not gonna lie, it felt like a typical scam call to me, maybe I’m just a bit paranoid but it had all the signs. Saw the comment about reporting dodgy calls, and this one definitely rings alarm bells for me.

I noticed a missed call from this number earlier today but there was no voicemail or anything. I thought it could be linked to EDF or the Smart meter folks since a couple of days ago I got a text from EDF about needing to update my meter. I'm still not sure if I should just block the number outright or tag it as 'Annoying' so I can filter it later if they ring again.

They rang me twice today but I never picked up, and left no voicemail either. After reading through the comments, it seems like it might be EDF, who’ve been pushing me to sign up for a Smart Meter. I guess now they’re giving out some credit incentives to meet government targets or something. I’m actually thinking about accepting it, but I’ll make sure to get in touch with them on my own terms, not through a random call like this.

I didn’t answer the phone but I checked the number and it’s on EDF's site as one they might use for smart meter appointments. I actually have mine scheduled for tomorrow. They didn’t leave any voice message.

This number called me twice today, once in the morning and again in the afternoon, both while I was busy on work calls. It showed up as "possible scam," so I just blocked it since I had no idea who it could be. EDF have been pestering me for ages about switching to a smart meter, and I've already blocked a similar number before.

As soon as I picked up, they just disconnected! Seems like a scam to me, but I’ve read other reviews saying it could be EDF bothering folks about installing smart meters. If it really was EDF, why on earth didn't they drop a voicemail? Sorted, I've blocked the number now.

Didn't answer 'cos I didn't know the number. No voicemail left either. Looked it up here and saw others saying the same - just scammers and annoying callers! Even if it’s EDF, they have no right to push those smart meters on you. They watch more than just your electric use, so be careful out there! Got calls a lot from Sunderland numbers. Block one and another just rings right after! My advice: don’t pick up if you don’t know the number.

I picked up and just said ‘Hello’, but no one spoke back. Definitely a scam. I’ve blocked the number now.

Got a call from an asian sounding lady trying to convince me to get a smart meter. Told her straight up I wasn’t interested but she kept pushing. I repeated I didn’t want one and then hung up. The weird thing was I’d just switched energy providers and she actually mentioned the new company’s name. Feels like they’ve got someone leaking phone numbers for them or something.

Just now, I noticed my phone screen went all red when I got a call from 01215433829 - looks like one of those spam calls or something.
