If that was EDF calling, it’s pretty poor form not to leave a voicemail. I’m labelling them as a nuisance and putting their number on block so I don’t get bothered again thinking about who it was! Number’s blocked now.

Got a text from someone claiming I rang them but they missed it and I should ring back. What a total load of nonsense! Do they really think I’m daft and can’t remember who I’ve called? First off, I never dialled that number. Second, it’s not saved in my contacts so there’s no way I pressed it by accident. Third, I don’t entertain random calls or replies to strangers. Lastly, I’ve gone ahead and blocked the number.

Don’t take this the wrong way, but this wasn’t your typical spam call from India (no disrespect to honest callers). It turns out the number belonged to someone from EDF Energy’s Sales department. I actually had a nice, relaxed conversation about their newest tariff options without feeling pressured at all.

Got a call from someone claiming to be with EDF and shortly after, they emailed me too. They mentioned a cheaper tariff and we updated the direct debit straight away. Fingers crossed it’s legit and not some sort of scam. The email arrived from [email protected].
