My landline rang earlier today, the 27th of November 2019, from what looks like a Sunderland area code. When I picked up, a recorded message played saying I’d won £500,000 on some Canadian lottery. They wanted me to call back on 0013476699085 and mention a reference number. Obviously, I didn’t bother following it up - sounds like a complete scam to me. Just thought I’d warn others about it. What a total load of rubbish!
