I received a rather alarming phone call from a woman claiming to be from Amazon. She insisted that my account had been compromised by a hacker who used my information to set up a new account and purchase an iPhone 7 for £399. She then asked how I wished to proceed, and if I didn’t recognise the transaction, she requested that I put her on loudspeaker. She claimed to have sent a text message that I should open while she waited on the line. Quite the dodgy business, if you ask me!
