8th May 2019 - 09:25... Here we go again, another irritating call regarding our internet service. Don’t these people understand that it’s only our actual service provider who should be ringing us about this? It was one of those robotic female voices, and after a moment, I decided to terminate the call. If what some commenters are saying is true, and legitimate numbers are being misused by unscrupulous callers, then there's clearly some sort of security lapse occurring. With the majority of ISPs no longer under BT's oversight, it’s now up to the individual providers and us consumers to remain vigilant. This is precisely how they slip through the cracks. The level of oversight has diminished so significantly these days that anything seems possible.

I got a robocall from this number, purporting to be BT support about my phone line. But when I tried to return the call, it turned out to be a private line! The chap who answered sounded rather befuddled and not very articulate. Quite strange, if you ask me!
