Apparently, my number was shared by a different financial advisor who’s likely made some coin selling my details. They go by the name of Simplicity and were the ones who sorted out my mortgage. I decided to ring 01915196013 and left a voicemail for someone named Gavin. On 01915196014, I spoke to a woman who surprisingly offered up her mobile number. Then, when I tried 01915196015, I finally got through to someone who transferred me to customer service. Initially, they claimed my number wasn’t in their system; however, as soon as I mentioned my name, they recognised it. It seems their auto-dialler is in need of a good overhaul. I managed to get her to remove my details from their list. Alternatively, if you're keen, just keep dialing up the next number until you strike gold. I inquired about the identity of their director, and it seems I stumbled upon the name of their managing or sales director: Douglas Reed. I intended to shoot him an email to air my grievances about their marketing tactics. They claimed that because my number was obtained from another party, it sidesteps the telephone preference system. This number has been incessantly ringing our mobile since Sunday, 20th March 2010 - every single hour until 6 PM. The absurdity continued again on Tuesday, the 22nd, and it seems they’ve returned to their bothersome ways yet again today. What on earth is wrong with these numpties? Can’t they take a hint that we’ve put them on the blacklist? Honestly, what exactly is the purpose of the phone regulators?
