I didn’t pick up when this number rang. There was no voicemail left either. After looking it up here, I found out it’s a risky call, so I’ve gone ahead and blocked it.

Some bloke called saying he was from BT Openreach, saying there was a problem with my internet. When I asked which provider I used, he couldn’t give a clear answer. I told him he was a total con artist and then he just cut the call. Proper scam!

I’ve had this same call popping up, and annoyingly it came through twice in just 15 minutes this morning. Didn’t make much effort to hang on when I answered since I had no clue who was calling. Wish I could block numbers on my landline, but sadly that’s not something I’m able to do.

Got a call from a chap with an Indian accent, sounded quite nice. He said there was a problem with my internet, but there was loads of noise from a call centre in the background which seemed odd. When I asked where he was calling from, he claimed Leeds but his number showed Sunderland. I then asked which company he worked for, and he said BT Openreach. I requested his staff ID to confirm, and suddenly he just hung up. I've blocked the number now.

When I picked up, there was silence for about 10 seconds, then just a quick 'goodbye'. I guess they had no one available to actually speak when the autodialler connected. Blocked straight away.

picked up the phone but there was nothing on the other end, then it just disconnected. decided to block the number now.
