Got a recorded call claiming to be from Barclays saying I had to verify two suspicious transactions on my account. I chose option 2, which the message said would connect me to their Fraud Team. Then they asked for personal details right away, which set alarm bells ringing. When I mentioned I’d call back from a different phone, the line just went dead. So I rang Barclays directly using the proper number, chatted with their real Fraud Department, and sure enough, it turned out to be a scam.
