They even said they’d send me an email, but then backed off, saying it wasn't possible due to data protection rules. They wouldn’t give me a direct phone number either. By that point, I was pretty suspicious. The last straw was when they said they weren’t after my personal details, just my credit info. I’d had enough by then and stopped sharing anything, which clearly annoyed them as they gave up trying to get more from me.

Got a call from someone saying they were from a power company I'd never heard of. Bit creepy how they knew my name right away. I've blocked the number now, and I'd recommend others do too, as it sounds like a dodgy scam to me.
