Dont think this is a spam number. It belongs to Bristol Street Motors, their call centre folks are pretty friendly. They ring you up when your mot or service is coming up, or if theres a safety recall on your vehicle you should know about. I just picked up the phone and it was all above board, no funny business. I was actually pleased they called, got my recall sorted and even gave the car a free clean, it looked brand new when I collected it.

Got a call from someone saying they were from a garage nearby, telling me my Vauxhall needed a recall fix and wanted to book me in at a garage about 15 or 20 miles away. I told them I'd ring Vauxhall myself to check and asked for their number back. They gave me a totally different number. Sounds a bit dodgy to me.

For the whole week now, I’ve been getting calls from this number and another one ending in .......2400 on both my landline and mobile, usually once or twice a day on each. They never bother to leave a voicemail. It’s not too annoying on the landline thanks to BT’s 'Call Guardian' - it just rings once since I’ve blocked the number - but it’s a right pain when I’m driving because it keeps buzzing 6 or 7 times. I only use the bluetooth hands-free setup on longer trips, so it can be quite distracting. A couple of times when I was in at home, my mobile and landline rang almost back to back from the same number, and no caller ID name came up, which is odd since I hardly ever share my mobile number and I’d for sure save it if it was someone I knew.

I received a rather peculiar call from 0191 491 2402 on my HTC One the other day. It rang once and then abruptly ceased, which was rather odd. Thankfully, I'm using the Call Blocker app on my Android, so it promptly added this number to the blacklist, ensuring I won't be bothered by it again. When I checked my call history, the number appeared as "unknown." This little incident took place at 9:40 AM on a Tuesday, 7th January 2014. Quite an unusual start to the day!

For the past two weeks, this number keeps ringing me up like three or four times daily. I've been stuck in hospital and can't pick up, plus they never leave a voicemail or anything. Honestly, it’s pretty pointless. I’m just going to block it now.
