I missed the call so I tried 1471 to check the number. I hit 3, but it just kept ringing and no one picked up!

I keep getting calls from someone claiming to be with Virgin Media, saying someone in the US is using my internet. When I told them to stop calling, they threatened to cut off my internet for a week. Virgin Media have no clue about this and my connection hasn’t been interrupted at all. Definitely another scam going on here.

Got another call from the same number not even an hour later. Honestly, hope these idiots get banned already.

Got a call today about my internet being cut off, another one of those annoying scams. It was some bloke with an English name but clearly not local. I ended up telling him to leave me alone, proper fed up with these calls now.

Got a call from someone claiming to be BT Openworld, said my internet might be cut off within a couple of hours because of problems with the gadgets I use. They tried to get into my computer. I humoured them for a bit but ended the call when I called them out on the scam. Be careful with these calls!

I answered the phone when it rang and just said hello, but there was silence for a few seconds before a recorded voice said "thank you, bye bye." So I rang 1471 to see who called me back. When I phoned that number, a woman with a Scottish accent picked up. She told me lots of others have rang her saying she called them, but she hasn’t made any calls. Seems like her number’s been compromised or something. The number was 01914691742.
