Yesterday afternoon (11/11/2025) I got a call from an unknown number. Lately, I’ve been getting loads of spam and scam calls, so I just don’t pick up if I don’t know the number. If they do leave a voicemail, I listen first to check, but this one didn’t leave anything. I’ve gone ahead and blocked and reported the number now.

I received a call on my personal mobile, claiming to be from BT. However, even though we do have BT, their offices are located elsewhere in the UK, and I'm aware that this particular number is registered in South Shields.

Received a call claiming to be from BT, conducting a survey regarding a product since our account is up for renewal. However, they requested to speak with our managing director, who wouldn’t handle such matters and is not even listed as the contact for our communications account. I have a sneaky suspicion they found the MD’s name through public records, and I reckon this call isn’t the real deal from BT at all.
