I got a call from 0191 456 8029, and the guy on the other end, sounded like he was from IT support. He said my laptop - well, he kept calling it a computer - had a virus and someone was tryna hack into it or something. He told me to “go to my computer” and do what he said so he could fix it. When I mentioned I only use a laptop, he snapped back saying a laptop is a computer too. Then, when I asked for proof he was legit, he just hung up on me. Pretty dodgy if you ask me.

So this bloke rings up saying, "Good afternoon madam, Richard from the I.T. Support team here, regarding your computer." I stopped him right there and asked, "How do you even know I own a computer?" He goes on about some fancy equipment they have or whatever. I quickly put a halt to his nonsense, told him straight up I wasn’t falling for any scam, and made it clear he wasn’t to bother me again. Finished with a firm, "Do not call back, goodbye."

I got a call from some bloke claiming to be from the IT department, saying there was an issue with my computer. When I told him I don’t own a computer, he asked who I worked for and if I was absolutely sure I didn’t have one. I just laughed and asked him again who he was. Then, he just hung up on me. What a numpty!

Got a call from an Asian guy claiming my antivirus missed some big issues on my computer. But when I asked him what my computer even was, he had no clue. If he doesn’t even know, how can he say there’s something wrong? Seriously, what a load of rubbish.

I got a call from a guy with an Asian accent claiming he was from the IT department. When I asked if it would cost me anything, he said it was free. I was like, who offers stuff for free nowadays? Told him to never ring me again and to wipe my number from his list.

I never caught his name. He said my computer was infected with some nasty virus or something. I told him to prove it and then he just ended the call. These lot call me all the time, always claiming they're from Microsoft and want to fix my PC. Total load of rubbish. When they keep ringing, I usually just say I don’t even own a computer and then put the phone down. Works every time.
