Got a call from an automated voice saying it was my bank, warning about some dodgy activity on my account. They mentioned a £300 something charge from Amazon and another foreign transaction around a grand. They wanted me to press a number to verify if I’d made those payments. I hung up immediately and rang my bank using their official number. Turns out the bank confirmed it was a scam and there hadn’t been any such withdrawals.
