Got a call on my home phone from this number when I was waiting for a local business to contact me. A voice claiming to be “Alex” from Amazon Security was on the line. I knew right away it was dodgy, so I just told the caller to get lost and hung up. Loads of local numbers have been popping up on my phone lately, so I reckon it’s all part of the same scam.
