As soon as I picked up, they cut the call straight away.

I've been getting these calls nonstop, with an automated woman saying her name is Shirley. She claims my IP has been hacked and that my internet will be cut off in two days. She says if I press 1, an engineer will fix my router and IP for free. This message keeps coming through, often from different numbers, for weeks now. It's obviously a scam. Someone really needs to do something about this!

absolute pain this call was, no message left or anything. best to just ignore and not ring back. total nightmare, those muppets.

Got a call just like the one mentioned earlier, some robotic woman saying my internet and IP address were at risk, claimed they were coming from overseas and I had to swap my IP straight away. Then she told me to hit 1 to chat to an engineer. I just ended the call.

Got a call from a man with an Indian accent claiming there was an issue with our BT account and he needed to verify some details. We told him to contact our provider directly since we're not BT, and he said he would. This isn’t the first time they’ve asked for our name and address like this. Be cautious out there. I’m planning to ring our provider to let them know this is going on. London, 3rd July 2018.

Beware, this is one of those scams where they try to get hold of your internet info.

Got a recorded call telling me my internet was at risk and to press 1 to chat with an engineer. Felt a bit dodgy to me.
