Honestly, it was really from EE. They offered me a data plan for my iWatch, and when I checked my EE account, it showed up there. I never gave any card info or lots of personal details. You get these if you’ve previously given permission for marketing calls, maybe without really thinking when signing up. I’m pretty sure it’s legit because I used to work for BT (which is EE’s sister company) and they regularly run campaigns like this to upsell services. You can request to stop getting marketing calls, but if you just ignore or hang up, they’ll probably ring back since their systems are often automated.

0191 429 0924 rang my EE mobile twice, once yesterday and again today. I didn’t pick up as I didn’t know the number.

Had a call from 01914290924 in Tyneside today, bloke said he was from EE. Started off by saying I’d called on Saturday to update something, then when I said no, he suddenly said he was ringing about a phone deal. Pretty obvious scam if you ask me.
