I got a call from a bloke with an Asian accent, claiming to be from BT Open Reach, going on about some issues with my internet box. I told him I already have someone who sorts out my router, and what he was saying made no sense. He hung up sharpish after that. I'd be careful if you get a call like this - real BT techs always properly introduce themselves. Don’t share any personal info that they might use later, even if you’re a BT customer. Sounds like a total scam to me.

Got a call from 01914168135, a woman with an Asian accent saying she was from Openreach. She told me my internet's running slow but honestly, it sounded like a total scam. Definitely not a Geordie either.

So annoying! They keep calling and then going silent or just ending the call. Proper pain in the neck.

About a couple hours ago, I got a call from a guy with an Asian accent claiming he was from BT Openreach, saying my broadband had an issue. I told him I’m actually with Plusnet, not BT. Then, just now, the same lot called again saying there’s a problem with my Plusnet broadband. I decided to mess with them a bit and asked how they even knew there was a problem and if they could confirm my IP address. They hung up straight away. Totally a scam.

Got a call from a man with an Asian accent, but the line was so rubbish I could barely catch what he was saying. He said something about the internet, but I didn’t really want to stick around - felt like a scam to me, so I just hung up.

Got a few calls from a bloke called Stephen claiming he’s from BT Openreach. He rings several of our office lines but just hangs up straight away if you ask what he wants. Definitely seems dodgy. I’ve logged it at https://www.actionfraud.police.uk/ to be safe.

Our office phone system keeps getting flooded by calls from this number, they seem to be using some kind of auto-dialler that increments the last digit each time. It's a nightmare especially since we've got loads of extensions on an external system. Seriously, why don’t the “authorities” set up a proper way to report and block these likely overseas spam calls? Relying on handy but unofficial sites like WhoCalledMe can’t be the only option. If this was happening to MPs in Parliament, I’m sure they'd sort it out pretty quickly!

Got a voicemail that claimed it was from TalkTalk saying my internet was about to be cut off today. They said if I wanted to keep my connection I should press '1', and if I wanted to disconnect (who would want that?!) to press '2'. Clearly a total scam, but figured I’d pass the number along to you guys.

Sounds like a classic scam aimed at taking over your computer. I got a call on my phone from some bloke claiming there were loads of errors on my internet connection (why call my mobile about that??). I reckon the next thing would have been him asking me to visit some site to 'check my speed', which is probably just a trick to sneak malware onto your machine. Once I started asking stuff like "Which company did you say you’re with?" he cut the call straight away.

Thank goodness for BT call guardian! They tried ringing me three times and couldn't get through at all. Seems like they’re not the sharpest since they still haven’t realised they’re wasting their time.

Had a call from some so-called BT centre saying they wanted to sort out our internet. Bit worrying how the actual BT can't do much to shut down these scammers. Such a shame.

In the past hour and a bit, we've gotten two phone calls. The first was a woman speaking with a very thick Asian accent, claiming she was from BT Openreach and that someone else was apparently using our internet. I cut the call off right away. Then the second call came through, but no one spoke a word, so we just ended it. Definitely feels like a scam to me!

This number has called me twice within an hour, but they've never left a message. I usually ignore it at first, then ring back to see who it is and look it up here. Feels pretty annoying and intrusive!

I got a call from a woman with quite a thick Asian accent claiming she was calling on behalf of BT. She said someone else was using my internet connection without permission. When I asked what steps to take, she told me to turn on my laptop or desktop. I told her I’d rather call BT myself, but she said it would cost me £5 per minute if I wanted them to handle it. I mentioned I'd try the free customer service number first, then she just cut the call. Sounds like a total scam to me.

this number has been ringing my work phone repeatedly, like three times within just a couple of hours. every time i pick up, nothing but dead silence before they abruptly end the call. then when i tried calling back, it tells me the number isn’t valid or something along those lines. does anyone know a way i can block this number? it’d be easier to shut it down if i could actually talk to whoever’s on the other end!
