Got a call from this number 0191-314-6983 today at about 11:27am on 4th Dec 2020. The person claimed to be from BT, using the fake name "George Smith" and gave a supposed BT ID 501336. The voice sounded Asian which didn’t match the name at all, so that immediately felt dodgy. If the accent and name don’t line up, be careful and don’t share any personal info! This is clearly a scam trying to steal your details. Make sure you report it to Action Fraud, put your number on TPS, and inform your phone provider too. Stay safe!
