Just got another call from CMF oven cleaning, the same old scam that’s been happening for years now. I even saw that the Information Commissioner’s Office has a special place to report these “Oven Cleaning” calls, so they clearly know it’s a problem. But like always, they don’t seem to do much about it - pretty useless really, like a chocolate teapot when you actually need them to act.

Got a call tonight from 01749504955, some bloke with a pre-recorded voice trying to push oven cleaning services. They've been ringing me from loads of different numbers for years now. I'm on the TPS list but it clearly doesn't stop these spammers. Feels like they're trying to confirm active UK numbers to flog onto others. There's also a similar trick where they ring to ask if you got the local free paper.

At the end of the call, they mentioned CMF. It was a pre-recorded “international” call, just like what others have said. This has been happening for ages now. You can find the company by searching “CMF oven cleaning” on Google. I don't get why this hasn’t been put to an end yet.

Same here! CMF OVEN CLEANING keep ringing me even though I’m on the TPS and told them to stop calling. I got their number from 141 - 0117 337 0634 - but when I tried calling back it just said “number not recognised.” Seems like a proper scam to me. I really feel sorry for anyone who’d actually let these lot come near their ovens, if that’s even what they do or if it’s just some trick to snag personal info.

Got a weird call asking if I want my oven cleaned at 13:39 on 5th Feb 2019 from 01687 805079. I've also been getting calls from 0151 293 1023 and 0191 410 5071. Loads of different numbers seem to be used. Who actually owns these numbers? BT? Virgin? TalkTalk? You'd think by now they’d have blocked them or the ICO would’ve stepped in. This has been going on for ages. Don’t ever press #1 or #5 - all that does is tell them your line is active and you'll just get even more calls.

Got a call from some oven cleaning firm, super annoying! Honestly, no idea why they bother phoning as no ones gonna hire them. I looked them up on Companies House and their finances look pretty dodgy, so dont give them any cash. Also, I just let the voicemail play out till they hang up instead of cutting off. I'm signed up with the telephone preference service but still get calls like this all the time. I even pressed 5 to get taken off their list, but I never signed up for their or any other mailing list to begin with. Is there anything we can do to stop these lists being passed on to third parties? Because our name comes up first when people search locally for oven cleaning, folks might be thinking it's us ringing. We have no links at all to CMF who are making these unwanted calls and we're pretty worried our good name could get hurt because of it. When I got in touch with TPS, they said they knew about these calls but since it was just an automated message, they couldn't really help further!

They rang yesterday and when I asked for a callback about booking an appointment, I got another call today. About CMF Oven Cleaning Service - this lot have been pestering us for the last couple of months. At first, I just hung up straight away. Then last week, I actually paid attention to their voicemail and noticed it was from CMF. They said if you press option 5, you won’t get any more calls. But since then, they’ve been ringing way more often, like every other day now! They clearly don’t care about cold calling rules. We’re ex-directory and also signed up to the BT Preference Service, yet they keep calling from withheld numbers. It really needs to stop.

I get calls from a hidden number every single day, at least twice, from some company called CMF pushing oven cleaning. They tell you to press 5 to stop the calls, but when I do, it just says something like "may not be used." My elderly mum keeps getting calls from CMF Oven Cleaning, but they never leave a number to ring back. From what I've read in other reviews, pressing 5 on their line doesn’t do anything and it costs a bomb to try and get hold of them. Got another call from 'CMF Oven Cleaning' earlier, asking if I wanted my oven cleaned. Honestly, next time I'll just say yes, then when they show up, act totally clueless about booking anything. It’s a bit cheeky, but at least it’d waste their time and petrol. I’d even snap a pic of them and their van. Every day I get calls from a number that’s hidden, claiming to be CMF Oven Cleaning with an automated voice asking if I want my oven done. I tried pressing 5 to stop the calls but it didn’t help at all. Actually, I reckon hitting 5 made things worse, because from the very next day, I started getting loads more spam calls than ever before. My partner has mental health issues and these late-night calls only make his anxiety worse and mess up his sleep badly.
