Got a call from someone with a Geordie accent, who said they worked for EDF Energy and wanted to persuade me to change my gas and electric supplier. They asked all the typical questions about my current bill and potential savings. I just said I'd have a think about it and then blocked the caller! Seems like these sorts of calls are coming through more often lately, probably because a lot of folk are still off work and able to answer their phones. Fingers crossed it dies down soon.

Got a call from someone claiming they’d help cut down my gas and electric costs. Thing is, in my flat all the bills are included so I don’t even pay them separately since I left my mum’s place. My name’s never been linked to any utility account. Pretty obvious that was a scam!

They keep ringing me over and over again. I never pick up numbers I don’t recognise, it doesn’t matter if I can see who it is or not. If it’s not someone I know personally, I just don’t answer. To me, it’s just some complete stranger. Getting called like that again and again is just plain harassment, no doubt about it.
