Got a call early morning, around 8, from a young woman claiming to be from BT Open Reach. She said my internet was running slow and wanted to know how many devices I had connected. Since she caught me just after waking up, I wasn’t really thinking straight. She then asked if I had a computer and to turn it on if possible. That’s when I started getting suspicious and asked if she could call me back later. We arranged a callback for 10am. Later on, I checked with BT and they told me it was definitely a scam as they never tell customers to switch on their computers. Watch out for this!
