An Asian lady called, claiming to be from BT accounts. I informed her that we are on the Telephone Preference Service and requested that she remove our number from her list. Yet, just four days later, I received another call from the same number! When I reiterated my request, she was rather insistent and tried to persuade me with offers of a better deal. It seems they don’t take no for an answer!

Got a call earlier from this number, my missus answered and a woman claimed to be from BT's accounts team. Since we'd had dodgy calls like this before, she asked if it was British Telecom or Bristol Telecom. The woman said "Yes, Bristol Telecom". My wife just hung up straight away. We reported this scam to Trading Standards years back.

Got a call from someone claiming to be BT offering a discount. When I asked them to prove who they were, they couldn’t give me any details. Told them I'm not even a BT customer and they just cut the call straight away. Definitely a scam.

I've had this number ring me loads of times, and whenever I pick up, there's total silence on the other end. After a moment, some automated voice says "thank you, goodbye". Honestly, feels a bit like harassment to me.

I had a call too, some person saying they were from BT offering a discount for being a loyal customer - 3 months without paying for landline rental. Then she put me through to a bloke who claimed to be a manager, but he got my name completely wrong. I told him I wasn’t convinced it was genuine since BT already have all my info, and I ended the call. Right after, the manager called me back, clearly annoyed I didn’t trust him and kept pushing for my details, including my email. When I asked for his number so I could confirm with BT, he just hung up on me.

Got a call from this number back on 19/01/17. It was a woman with an Indian accent, and a bloke too, both saying they were from BT, trying to offer some sort of discount - think it was either 35% off or a three-month deal for “being loyal.” They acted like they already had my address but butchered the names of places around here. Then they said they needed MY info to verify MY identity! What they really wanted was my bank card details and kept guessing at stuff. The guy sounded a bit irritated when I wouldn’t give in. Ended the call straight away.

I picked up the phone to someone with an Asian accent claiming that, as loyal customers of BT, we're eligible for some sort of discount. The thing is, we're not even BT customers! I ended the conversation pretty quickly. This makes it the second such call I've received this week!
