Got a call from 0191 359 2862 earlier today, they were trying to verify my info for some life insurance policy. When I asked which company they were with, the bloke just told me to answer the questions without giving any details. I said I don’t have life insurance and he suddenly got really shouty, telling me I was being rude and needed some manners. I’m 62 years old, for goodness’ sake! Told him it was a scam and ended the call straight away.

Got a call from someone saying they wanted to look over my LV policy, which is only a few months old. I said it didn’t need any reviewing. Then he started talking about doctor on call and some rewards I could get, and asked for my details. I told him to send me everything in writing instead, and he just hung up.

I think someone must've broken into my Instagram, grabbed my phone number and name from there, and then started calling me all the time, bothering me.

Got a call from someone claiming I’d won a prize in a holiday competition, but apparently it was just the second prize. Then they asked for my bank details to cover the cost of breakfast, which they said was £84 for two people! That’s way too expensive, sounded really dodgy to me. Definitely a scam.

Just a total waste of time, honestly.

They keep ringing non-stop, definitely some dodgy scam going on. Best thing to do is block them straight away to be safe.

When I asked what they wanted, they just went straight to calling me a piece of rubbish 😂 Definitely a scammer, no doubt! I've blocked them now.

I came across this lot called British Breakaway and Mini Breakaway, and honestly, it’s a major holiday scam. They’ve got no ICO registration or any sort of government approval, which makes me think they’re holding onto people’s info illegally. It’s really dodgy. If you’ve had any dealings with them, do everyone a favour and drop a review on Trustpilot. They’re basically nicking personal data, and although I’ve reported them already, more reviews could help warn others!

This has gotta be one of those British mini breakaway holiday scams going around on Instagram. If anyone’s dealt with them, make sure you drop a review on Trustpilot. They’re con artists. Their company’s not even registered, plus they aren’t on the ICO list, so they’re basically nicking your personal info. Total scam, avoid!

Got a missed call from this number, and later they left a voicemail claiming I’d won a runner-up prize. They said I need to cover the cost of some breakfast for the break and asked me to ring back a free phone number. They reckoned I entered via Instagram or something!

I received a call informing me that I'd won a two-night getaway, but they mentioned needing a modest payment first. I requested that they send me the specifics via email, as I wanted to be cautious about the situation. Since then, however, I've not heard a peep from them. Honestly, I'm beginning to doubt the legitimacy of this whole thing.

Got a call from some scammer claiming I’d won a runner-up prize for a two-night hotel break. They said I’d have to cover £18 each day for breakfast though. Definitely steer clear of this one!

I just got ripped off for £84! They told me I’d won a free weekend trip but it was all a trick. The worst part is my two little ones were in the background and they didn’t even seem to mind swindling money from me with babies around. Proper awful.

I've been conned out of £84! They claimed I'd won a weekend break and convinced me to set up an account on a site they directed me to. Sadly, I couldn't figure out how to remove my banking info from the account. Absolute nightmare!

I was conned out of £84. They informed me that I’d won a weekend getaway and ended up charging me when I created an account on the website they directed me to. Unfortunately, I couldn't remove my bank information from that account.

got a call from some bloke telling me i’d won a second place prize from accor but had to cough up £82 for breakfast, which sounds like a load of bunk to me. thats a lot to pay just for a couple of brekkies! definitely a scam, just ignored it and blocked the number straight away.

I received a call informing me that I’ve supposedly won a holiday, but they mentioned I’d need to fork out a small sum for breakfast. Quite fishy, if you ask me!

I received a call from some bloke with a rather strong Indian accent, who was adamant that I had somehow been wrapped up in a massive road rage incident. Oddly enough, he reassured me that I wasn't to blame. Then, he began to dig for my bank information, insisting that I was eligible for a compensation payout from insurance. Quite the dodgy situation, if you ask me!

I got a call from this number as well. They offered me a code that apparently slashed the price to £69 for a couple of nights in a room. If this offer was legit, why were they rushing me so much to make a booking? Feels like either I’ve managed to win something or it’s all just a big con. Proper fishy if you ask me.

I got a call from a blocked number claiming I won a runner up prize in a contest - two nights free stay. Then they asked me to pay £17 each per night for breakfast upfront. Feels really dodgy to me. Yeah, I did enter the competition but there's no way I'm giving out my bank details. They must think I'm daft!

I reckon that was another Scouser on the line, probably from some accident claims place. Didn't bother sticking around to listen, just told him to sod off straight away.

Over the past 10 days, this number has rung my home phone about 10 times. I picked up once, but there was nothing but silence before they abruptly ended the call. I've blocked the number on my landline, but now it's started calling my mobile as well.

I usually don’t pick up calls from numbers I don’t recognise, and these didn’t leave a voicemail either. I noticed a few missed calls from this number on my phone and thought I’d check online for any info before ringing back, but couldn’t find anything at all. Has anyone else got a clue who this might be?
