I’m honestly not too sure if this was a telemarketer or something else that fits the usual categories. The same Asian lady rang me, but this time from a different number than before (first call was on 0208906 4559). She claimed to be from a credit firm, but neither of us gave any proper ID or explained which company she was with. I told her I’d already spoken to her from another number, and I was pretty annoyed at her sneaky attempt to start a chat. I made it clear I knew what she was up to and that using a direct line wasn’t going to fool me. She tried to bring up something about a commission, but I cut her off and said I’ve never dealt with any credit company before, and I wasn’t interested in any further calls. I asked her to stop ringing me on any of her numbers. Maybe it’s a scam, I’m not sure, but I didn’t want to carry on the conversation, and she ended the call. I have a feeling she might send her colleagues to call me next, but I don’t plan on engaging with them. I’ll try to turn their own tactics on them by asking similar questions to see if they’ll reveal which credit company they’re actually from.

Got a call from some woman, I think her name was Nina? She totally butchered my name and was trying to tell me where she was calling from, but then she just went silent, breathed quite heavily and then just hung up on me. Kinda seemed like she got all confused and forgot what company she was meant to be representing or something.

Some bloke with an Indian accent rang me up saying he was from the National Debt Helpline. He was talking about this “IVA” thing that supposedly helps with debt. I just told him I wasn’t bothered and ended the call straight away.
