So I think this was Utility Discount calling, doesn’t seem like a scam to me. I left my number on some comparison site to check utility prices and that’s probably how they got it. It was a bit frustrating tho, cos I answered the call but no one said anything and then they just ended it. I called them back later and they were really helpful, explained what they were about. I’d been browsing their site that morning, so it kinda made sense.

Yesterday I got called twice by what seemed like spam. I hung up right away because I thought it might be a scam. I blocked the first number straight away, but then another call came through from a number just a bit different, so I blocked that one too. It’s crazy that these scammers can just keep ringing like that. Can’t they be tracked down and stopped somehow? Loads of people my age aren’t as clued up about phone and online security as I am, so it’s really worrying.

I've been getting calls from Utility Discount. When I first answered, the person seemed quite helpful and was trying to sort out a cheaper deal for my gas and electric. But even though I told them I wasn't ready to switch providers for another month to avoid a £60 fee and asked them to ring back later, they've kept calling me loads. Not once have they left a message either.
