I suspect I was on the receiving end of a telemarketing call. When I picked up, the chap on the other end mentioned he was calling about my broadband and inquired if I was the account holder. I pressed him a bit, asking whether he was calling to discuss my current broadband or if he was trying to sell me something, but he just kept regurgitating his script. When I probed further, asking if he was directly affiliated with BT, he claimed to be collaborating with BT, TalkTalk, and others. That's when I decided to cut the conversation short. If it was a legitimate matter regarding my broadband, I’m certain BT would have introduced themselves properly.
