I explained no one here has been contacted about any debts and 'insisted' they spoke to a director last week before hanging up really quickly. Honestly, no one has called here asking for a director because I’m the only one who answers the phone and I’d pass the call to a director (my dad) if needed.

When I tried to find out what sort of business that was, they just hung up on me. I checked online and there’s nothing about debt collection on NE 1’s website like others have mentioned, and that phone number isn’t listed either. Feels like a scam to me. About 5 minutes later, they called my mobile too. I’ve blocked it now!

Some firm named NE1 Debt Recovery rang asking for the business owner. To stop them pestering the real owner with their unsolicited calls, I just told them I was in charge. She then started her usual debt recovery chat. The woman was quite polite, and when I told her we had no debts, she seemed satisfied and hung up. Not sure what she’d done if I’d asked for more details and not put her on. Guess only time will show if I managed to blag them :)

DEBT COLLECTION - Just like the others have said, had this sharp rude woman on the phone, kept insisting on speaking to a director. I told her the directors never take calls, so calling back would be pointless. She still insisted on a director. When I asked to be taken off their list, she said she needed to check with a director first! So I put a director on the line, who simply asked to be removed from the database and said nothing more. Let's wait and see if they ring back!
