If you get a call on your iPhone, save the number in your contacts and call it something like BLOCKED. Then head over to your Settings, find the Phone section, and go to Blocked Contacts. Add that BLOCKED contact there and it should stop the calls from coming through. Fingers crossed it works!

For those with an iPhone, it's pretty easy to block this number. Just open your call log, tap the little "i" beside the number, then scroll all the way down and you'll see the option to "Block Contact". Simple as that.

Got a call from someone claiming to be from the consumer helpline saying I’d overpaid a loan - which I definitely haven’t! They had my name and postcode and then wanted me to verify my date of birth. It felt fishy, so I told them to ring me back. Since then, I've had loads of missed calls from them but I’m not picking up again. I reckon someone not paying close attention could easily get caught out by this kind of scam. These people should be tracked down and made to do community service, helping the community instead of causing hassle and stress.

I just got a call similar to one someone else mentioned about a loan and some dodgy mis sold PPI. They asked if I was still at the same address, which was a bit suspicious. I told them I don’t have any loans, then the woman started asking about credit cards and stuff. That’s when I just hung up.

Absolutely a PPI mis-selling scam. They claimed to be Reactiv Media but were ringing from a different number this time. What annoyed me most was how they try to confirm your identity - asking for details about the bank you had finance through, like some sort of authorisation check, even though they were the ones who called first. When I said I wasn’t comfortable giving that info, they just started rattling off bank names hoping one would ring a bell. Proper dodgy. Best thing is just to hang up or block the number straight away!
