So, I got a call at 2 in the morning, can you believe it? Fortunately, it was to my old mobile that I rarely switch on nowadays, otherwise it would’ve woken me up proper! Such a bizarre time to be ringing someone.

Received a call yesterday at 3:46 and another today at 5:02. I decided to ignore them on both occasions. It's rather peculiar-they only seem to ring twice before cutting off just as the third ring begins. What a waste of time! What is the deal with these chancers?

Got a call from them yesterday claiming I'd paid too much on a loan! I told them I'd never taken out any loan but they kept insisting otherwise. Eventually, they transferred me to the dispatch team who said they'd email me the info. But as soon as I mentioned no loan existed, they got really annoyed and rude, saying they didn’t understand why I was passed on to them. Honestly, just best to hang up and not bother with these calls.

I received a rather dubious call from this number, claiming that I was entitled to a refund related to a loan I supposedly acquired prior to 2014. When I inquired about the name of the loan provider, he merely stated it was from a high street bank. He insisted that the refund could only be initiated once I signed some paperwork he planned to send me. Clearly, this is a scam! It's incredibly frustrating as I'm being bombarded with two calls daily from these nuisances. Honestly, I just want them to cease their incessant ringing. What a hassle!

I just received a rather dubious call from this number, claiming to represent a consumer protection organisation. They went on about how I was entitled to a refund for a loan I supposedly took out between 2001 and 2011, mentioning something about car finance or loans.uk. The thing is, I've never had a car on finance and I've certainly never taken out any personal loans. I'm starting to suspect this might be some sort of scam. Just be cautious, everyone! x - caller: Unknown

I recently received a missed call on my mobile from 01913009015. Curious, I rang them back while hiding my number, and they promptly informed me that I was entitled to a refund on a loan I supposedly had. I quickly set them straight, firmly stating that their information was completely erroneous. The chap on the other end kept insisting that I was due some cash from a loan, to which I retorted that it was utter nonsense as I've never taken out a loan in my life. He hung up in a hurry after that! Now, I’m having a bit of fun by withholding my number and repeatedly calling them back. I let them know I've got their number from a mate and that I'm interested in a loan. I aim to keep them chatting for as long as possible - I consider it a sort of community service. The longer I can keep these fraudsters occupied, the less time they have to mislead the unsuspecting. I urge everyone to mask their caller ID and waste their time. If you can’t outsmart them, you might as well play their game! They’ve been ringing me under the guise of Discover Finance / Consumer Helpline (definitely not true!) along with a few other made-up business names.

I received a call regarding the car finance I had previously arranged for a vehicle, and it turns out there’s a refund involved. The chap rambled on about the years 2001 to 2011 - quite the range, if you ask me! When he pinpointed it to 2007 with HSBC, I mentioned I’d have been just 15 at that time, which I thought might provide some clarity. Then, out of nowhere, the line went silent! What a character!

I received a call on my mobile from this number. A man requested to speak with me and seemed to know my last name, which I found rather peculiar since the phone bill is in my partner's name, who has a completely different surname. He claimed to be from the Consumer Helpline and informed me that I had been overcharged for something as far back as 2011. He then asked for my thoughts on who I might have been overcharged by. Admittedly, I was quite put out to receive a call on my personal mobile and began to suspect it was a scam as soon as he made that claim. I probed him with a few questions, and it seemed my tone raised a flag because he abruptly ended the call. I have a strong feeling this was a scam. I advise anyone against sharing any information with them.

I received a phone call from this number earlier today, and lo and behold, the caller knew my name and postcode! I mentioned that I was busy at work and would need him to ring me back tomorrow. After browsing through these comments-cheers, everyone!-I’ve decided that if he tries to contact me again, I'm going to have a bit of fun with him. I’ll throw out some made-up information and bogus account details. It’ll be interesting to see if he gets a little festive bonus for his efforts!

I've been absolutely inundated with calls from this number on my mobile, and quite frankly, it's driving me to distraction! In the past three hours, they've managed to ring me about thirty times. It's beyond frustrating! Every time I pick up, there's this voice on the other end asking for my bank details and PIN. Naturally, I hang up immediately, but the calls just keep coming like an unwanted pest. I've attempted to block the number, yet somehow, it still manages to slip through. I'm really at my wit's end here - does anyone have any advice on how to tackle this? I would greatly appreciate any help!

I received a call from a chap named Ben regarding PPI from a company called Reactive???? He rambled on about various banks I'd previously borrowed from, despite me firmly stating I wasn't interested. He kept pressing the issue, which was rather vexatious. Ever since that conversation, I've been inundated with eight missed calls from the numbers 0843 227 0971 and 0115 828 5045. Curiously, when I researched these digits, I discovered they’ve been pestering others about PPI overcharges too. It’s as though they’ve made a habit of ringing up, leaving nothing but silence before abruptly ending the call. Who can we report these misleading practices to, in order to take action against these deceitful individuals?

I keep getting unsolicited calls from this number, and I can’t fathom how they managed to obtain my mobile number. Honestly, they ought to be hit with hefty fines or even face jail time for this nuisance! It’s baffling why our politicians aren’t stepping up to implement stricter regulations, especially considering how many people are impacted. Come on, MPs! It’s high time you rolled up your sleeves and took action on this issue!

I recently received a phone call from this number, claiming that I was owed a refund for a loan taken out sometime between 2001 and 2011. I recently received a rather aggressive phone call from a woman claiming that I was due some money back from a loan I had overpaid. When I probed her about why she was contacting me unasked, she became quite flustered and insisted that cold calling was against the law. It's evident that this is a dodgy operation! I pity those who might not question such things-especially the more vulnerable folks or the elderly. Is there a proper channel where we can file a complaint about these sorts of activities? It ought to be outlawed!

I received a call from a company claiming that I was due some PPI compensation from my loans. Received a call yesterday, picked up, but it was just silence on the other end. Then today, the phone rang again. This time, someone asked if they were speaking to me by name. Received a call earlier from someone inquiring about Gareth (not sure where they got that from, as I'm Nikki). I promptly informed them they'd dialled incorrectly, to which he responded with a nonchalant 'okay', but then cheekily tried to sell me on the idea that I might be eligible for a PPI reimbursement. I insisted I wasn't interested, clarifying I'd never taken out any loan or such nonsense. He persisted, asking if I was absolutely certain. At that point, I decided enough was enough and hung up. Would you believe they rang back today? This time, when I picked up (ready to give them a piece of my mind), I was greeted by an automated voice instructing me to hold, only to have the call abruptly terminate. It crossed my mind that it might be some sort of scam, so I took to Google and stumbled upon this site. All in all, if you get a call from them, do yourself a favour and just ignore it!

In the blink of an eye, I was met with an insufferable chap who couldn't help but boast about his capabilities. I swiftly suggested he focus on his own issues and then suggested he find a way to expand his family tree. Since then, I’ve accumulated an alarming number of blocked contacts. Is there a particular type of person who actively seeks out these roles, fully aware they’re spreading discontent among the general public?

So, I was contacted by a company that goes by the name Claims Advisory, and they were probing me about loans I supposedly took out prior to 2011. Yet, they then wanted me to verify details about claims from as far back as 2005??? If they’re making the call, shouldn’t they already have this information at hand?

I'm rather relieved that I didn’t pick up the call. When I called back, there was a voicemail regarding financial options that suggested I should ring back during business hours.
