Got a call from them yesterday claiming I'd paid too much on a loan! I told them I'd never taken out any loan but they kept insisting otherwise. Eventually, they transferred me to the dispatch team who said they'd email me the info. But as soon as I mentioned no loan existed, they got really annoyed and rude, saying they didn’t understand why I was passed on to them. Honestly, just best to hang up and not bother with these calls.

This number rang me earlier claiming I was owed money back from a loan I supposedly took out before 2014. When I asked for the name of the lender, the bloke said it was from High Street Bank but that he couldn’t release the refund unless I signed some papers he’d post over. It’s definitely a scam. I just want these muppets to stop calling me - I’m getting about two calls daily from them. Honestly, it’s so annoying.

I told the guy he had the wrong info and that I never took any loan. He kept going on about the refund, but I told him it was nonsense and then he just hung up on me. After that, I kept calling them back with my number blocked, pretending I was interested in getting a loan and said I got their number off a mate. Try and keep them on the line for ages if you can - it's like doing your bit for the community by stopping them from scamming others who might fall for it. So yeah, block your number, annoy the hell out of these scammers, and waste their time. Can't beat 'em, join 'em, right?

Got a call from someone about some car finance refund, apparently from a deal I supposedly had. Then he started going on about dates between 2001 and 2011, which is quite a stretch. I told him I had no clue what he was on about, then he threw out 2007 linked to HSBC. I had to tell him I was only 15 then, and suddenly the line just dropped. Proper odd!

I got a call on my mobile from this number, and a bloke wanted to speak to me. He somehow already knew my last name, which felt odd since the phone contract is actually under my partner’s name, who has a different surname. The guy claimed he was from the Consumer Helpline and said they found I’d been overcharged on something dating back to 2011. He asked me to confirm who I thought had overcharged me. I was pretty annoyed about being called out of the blue and immediately thought it sounded fishy. When I asked more questions to check, I think he picked up on my scepticism because he suddenly hung up on me. It definitely seems like a scam to me. My advice: don’t share any info with them.

So this bloke called Ben rang me up about some PPI stuff from a company called Reactive? He kept asking about loads I'd taken out with like 8 different banks, but I told him flat out I hadn’t. He was seriously pushy though. Since then, I've been getting these silent calls from numbers like 0843 227 0971 and 0115 828 5045. I decided to check these numbers, turns out loads of people have reported them pestering folks about PPI overcharges. It’s like they ring, answer, then just go quiet and hang up after a few seconds. Anyone know which authorities handle this kind of scam so they can be stopped? This seems proper dodgy and like fraud to me.

Right off the bat, some muppet started yapping about all the ways they could “assist” me. I just told him to sort himself out and jog on. Funny enough, my blocked numbers list has grown massive since! I can’t help but wonder if there’s a special type of person who’s happy spending their days bothering people like this? Some firm named Claims Advisory got in touch and wanted me to verify loans from before 2011, then started asking about claims from way back in 2005. Surely if they’re legit, they’d have their info straight before calling?

Honestly, I found it pretty unnerving and definitely not something I’d trust. Feels kinda fishy to me!
