Got a call on my landline from some American lady with a recorded message saying £39.99 had been taken from my Amazon Prime account. She went on about me being a valued member or something like that. I just ended the call right away since I’ve never had an Amazon Prime account, let alone been charged for it. Pretty sure it was some kind of scam.

On 15 Nov 2019 around 11:24, I got a call from an American-sounding computer voice saying they were charging me £35 for renewing my Amazon Prime. It told me to press 1 if I wanted to cancel. I just hung up straight away because it felt like a total scam. Besides, I don’t even have an Amazon Prime account.
