So, they were asking for info, telling me it's for some medical service, but as soon as I tried to get some details about their company, they just cut the call straight away. Feels like another dodgy scam from some Asian outfit.

Got a call from this number today. Answered it but there was complete silence on the other end before they just ended the call.

I got a call from a bloke who spoke really broken English and kept asking for my name, address and if I was living by myself. When I tried to ring him back, the line was always busy. Honestly hoping he rings again so I can give him a proper piece of my mind. Planning to report this to the police so they have a record of what happened.

Had no clue who was ringing, it was dead quiet, so I just ended the call. If they bother again, I'm totally blowing a whistle right into their earpiece loud enough!

Got a call from a woman who sounded Asian, she had bits of my name, my phone number and address and said it was for some health study. I asked how she got my info and why she was calling me, told her she should send a letter instead. She said she’d email me about elderly people living alone for important research. I told her to try Age Concern if she needed info and that I wasn’t comfortable answering anything or giving my email. After that I just ended the call.

Somebody rang me for the second time today, and right when I answered, I caught the echo from their voicemail and hung up straight away. The number was hidden.

Got a call from a woman with an Asian accent, she knew my name straight away but her English was so poor I could hardly understand her. I think she mentioned something about medical research but I’m not too sure. I ended the call pretty quickly because I’m not about to give out any medical info over the phone. Got a call from a bloke with an Asian accent saying he was from some health and social services department. He started asking if I’m elderly and about any meds I take. I fired back a couple of questions about why he’s calling me out of the blue and where exactly he was ringing from, and he just ended the call. Feels like they’re fishing for info to spot who might be easy targets for scams or something.

We get loads of calls like this. The phone rings, but as soon as they hear it’s a listed number, they just disconnect without saying a word.
