Got a call from a woman with an Asian accent saying they’d be cutting off my internet in a day because of some 'risky activity' on my IP. She wanted me to turn on my PC so they could fix it before my connection got shut down for good! Didn’t fall for it and just ended the call immediately!

I received a call from a woman of Asian descent who asked if I could hop online so she could inspect my internet connection. Quite peculiar, if you ask me!

Had another sketchy call from some bloke with an Indian accent claiming he was from BT, about an issue with my computer. Then he said he needed to talk to the owner because BT told him to fix a problem. Told him to get lost straight away!

Got a call three times in about an hour from a man with an Indian or Pakistani accent, asking for me by my surname. When I asked who was on the line, he just hung up straight away.

As soon as I answered the phone, it just cut off. After reading the comment before me, seems like another scammer pretending to be BT. That’s the third one I’ve had today, all coming from different numbers.

got a call from some guy claiming he was from bt sayin my broadband had issues. i played along and kept chatting with him for about 10 mins. then i asked if he wanted a computer or something, and suddenly he just ended the call. so disrespectful! ive got all the time in the world to mess around, but clearly he didnt ha ha.

I got a call from some foreign bloke, at first there was just silence, then you could hear a busy call centre in the background. He said there was some internet fault and told me to switch on my computer so he could inspect the connection. When I asked which company he was with, he claimed it was British Telecom. I told him I don’t use BT, but he insisted they work with all internet providers. Then he wanted my personal info to “confirm” my identity, but I refused and asked him for his ID and the name linked to my number. Suddenly, the call just cut off. Bit suspicious if you ask me.
