I’m really upset with whoever rang from this number. My mum was waiting for an ambulance and got a call from them. She told them she wasn’t interested and needed to keep her line clear for the ambulance, but they said it would only take a moment. They just wanted to chat about energy stuff despite knowing she was poorly and waiting for an urgent call. I don’t know what company this is, but their behaviour was terrible and totally disrespectful. I’m blocking the number and telling others to do the same.

They are con artists trying to get all the info (like account numbers and such) from your past energy bills so they can forge documents to steal your identity or open overseas bank accounts pretending to be you. Sometimes they ask for your bank details like sort code and account number to put a direct debit on for the fake energy firm they say you’re switching to for a cheaper price. Best thing is to just say you’ve got a key meter, then they usually lose interest real fast.
