the caller actually knew my name which surprised me, then they went on asking if i worked with factory tools or something similar. after that, they mentioned something about hearing loss. when i asked where they were calling from and refused to say where i worked, they got all defensive. i’m certain it’s a scam but can’t figure out how they got my details.

They called and used my name straight away, but then just stayed silent and wouldn't tell me who they were. Proper weird.

They asked if either me or my husband had ever been involved in engineering or factory work. Since I’m a bit clued up on industrial deafness claims, I thought I’d answer, but she just hung up on me. They called back later but I didn't pick up - typical scammer behaviour, really.
