Labour Party 🌹 Sorry I couldn’t pick up your call but you’ve got my vote. The Tories have had nearly a decade to fix things and they’ve totally let us down, increasing debt even with all the cuts. Thank goodness the Blair era is over (even if they weren’t responsible for the global crash). Really hopeful for a fairer Britain with Jeremy Corbyn at the helm. Time for the Tories to go #JC4PM #savethenhs #saynotowar

i wanted to know where they found my number since ive NEVER signed up anywhere. the only way they can get my number is by buying stolen lists or data, maybe from the talk talk hack a while back. they just mumbled something. i told them cold calling is supposed to be 'illegal' now so why are they ringing me? more mumbling and they just hung up.

I have been receiving frequent calls at unsociable hours without any voicemail being left. While browsing online, I stumbled upon this webpage and discovered that many others have faced a similar issue with this number. If the call is from the Labour party, I do not have an issue with it. Although I used to be a member, I have not renewed my membership because, given their current structure, I don't feel it is appropriate for me to remain a member, even though I have always voted for Labour. However, my complaint is that whenever they call me, there is never anyone on the line when I answer, regardless of how quickly I pick up. This constant experience of unanswered calls is what I consider to be harassment.

On 21st November 2017 at 17:10, we received a phone call once again, just like the usual time. We explicitly stated that we do not want any phone calls or emails from the Labour party or their call centre agencies. We kindly requested that they stop contacting us. The caller assured us that he would make a note of it, although we're not very optimistic about the situation. If these unwanted communications persist, we will escalate the matter: we'll publicize our concerns, reach out to our local Labour MP, and even consider approaching the media, including newspapers.

Even though we have repeatedly unsubscribed from their emails and firmly expressed that we have no interest in receiving any form of communication from the Labour Party or their call centres, they persist in attempting to contact us. It appears that their refusal to accept a simple "no thank you" as a response knows no bounds!

The Labour Party obtains its data from the Electoral Register, which is accessible to all political parties for campaigning. If you wish to have your phone number or name removed from the list, you must contact your local Council's Electoral Services and request the deletion. It's important to note that changes in the Data Protection regulations ensure that calls made from the Labour Party will display a Regional Office or Headquarters number. This arrangement allows individuals who call back to reach the party directly rather than a specific individual.

Just had another member quit the Labour Party, these calls are pure harassment. It’s 19:55 and I’m fed up with constantly telling them to take my details off their list and stopping their emails. If more folks did what I did, maybe they’d realise annoying their own supporters isn’t smart at all.

Just missed a call from this number and I'm really frustrated. I already told a Labour agent who called me once to take me off their contact list, and they promised they would, but that clearly didn't happen. I used to be a strong Labour supporter and always voted for them. But because of this constant pestering by their callers, I've completely changed my mind. It feels like the party doesn’t actually care about the concerns of people like me; their cold calls just show that lack of respect.

I just missed a call, and when I looked up the number, I found this page. The "Labour Party" or their representatives have called me previously but not from this particular number. It's frustrating because a few years ago, I specifically asked them to remove my name and number from their contact list. It seems they didn't follow through on that! I believed I had successfully unsubscribed and opted out of any further communication, but now I suspect the harassment is starting again. I can already anticipate receiving regular calls three times a week, right during dinner time. It's ironic because I used to support the Labour Party, but their continuous harassment, including obtaining my private mobile number without my knowledge, has made me lose my support for them. Surprisingly, they are the worst in my area, even though I live in a Labour constituency. Their rudeness, aggression, and complete dishonesty are just unbelievable.

LEGIT CALL - the person rang from the LABOUR PARTY
10 years
On a Monday evening, I received a call on a landline from a rather amiable lady who inquired, “Is that ...[my name] ...?” She identified herself as being with “the local Labour Party.” She then offered to assist me with any issues I might want to bring up regarding local concerns. Curious about how she got hold of my number, I asked her about it, and she reassured me that “We assist local residents, no matter their political stance.” I informed her that I had no issues to discuss, and she graciously thanked me before ending the call. While the conversation appeared to be quite legitimate and was nothing to be overly concerned about, there are a few points worth mentioning: A) The landline I was contacted on isn’t mine at all. I’m not listed anywhere, and I’ve never had a phone of my own. B) The person who does own the number has kept it for many years and has consistently registered it with the Telephone Preference Service (TPS) from its inception. C) Interestingly, the number from which “the local Labour Party” called appears to be a landline based in Tyneside, while the number that rang me is situated around 250 miles away. To sum it all up, the call could well have been a benign inquiry, but the particulars used (my name alongside someone else’s number) raise concerns that these details were potentially obtained unlawfully-presumably at a cost to the Labour Party.

Just after eight o’clock on a Monday evening, I received a call on the landline I’m using, which I found rather peculiar. A friendly sounding woman inquired, “Is that ...[my name]...?” and introduced herself as representing “the local Labour Party.” She went on to ask if there was anything they could assist me with or any local issues I wished to discuss. Curious about how she got in touch with this number, I probed further, to which she replied, “We assist local residents, irrespective of their political leanings.” I informed her that I didn’t have any matters to bring up at that moment. She thanked me graciously, and we concluded the call. I can’t help but feel the call was completely above board. There was absolutely nothing underhanded or evasive about her approach. However, I can’t shake the fact that this call should never have occurred in the first place. A) The number that was called isn’t mine. I’m not listed anywhere, nor have I ever possessed a phone myself. B) The individual who owns this number has had it for an extensive period and has been registered with the Telephone Preference Service since its inception. C) Decades ago, the previous owner was actually a Conservative Member of Parliament. D) The number the call originated from seems to be a landline in Tyneside, while I’m situated a good 250 miles away from there. Interestingly, I’ve noticed a number strikingly similar to the one that called, associated with Labour Women, labourwomen.org.uk. I can only speculate that they may share the same switchboard. So, while the nature of the call appeared to be perfectly legitimate, it’s evident that the data utilised - my name linked with someone else's number - was gathered and used unlawfully.
